Rohit Sharma Confident: India Ready for Any Challenge in 2025 Champions Trophy
So what if the sky is cloudy in Dubai? What if there’s dew on the field or a little extra bounce in the pitch? No matter what conditions they face, India have the bowlers to handle it.
Captain Rohit Sharma was quoted saying this just before India’s previour champions trophy match with Bangladesh. India has played a number of T20 games in Dubai since the year 2021. They are quite familiar with the conditions. It has been some time since an ODI match was played here, but Rohit is confident his team will adjust swiftly.
India Have the Right Attack for Any Conditions

If it’s cloudy, we have the bowlers to take advantage of it,” Rohit said. “If the ball is moving in the air, we have pacers who can use that. And if we have to bat first in those conditions, our batsmen know how to handle it.”
All-rounders At the onset, Rohit comments that one major strength of the Indian cricket team is their “multi-skilled” players.
Other capable all-rounders include Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Ravindra Jadeja, who can both bat and bowl.
With Jasprit Bumrah . We know that he is already out by his injuries but now he is back, these all-rounders could be important for India in this tournament.
Rohit said, “With Jadeja, Axar, and Washy on our side, our team is so much more balanced. We have more possibilities to explore different plans and gameplay. Hence, we focus on multi-skilled players.”
Varun Chakravarthy: The Mystery Spinner
Varun Chakravarthy is one of the prominent spin bowlers in the Indian Cricket team. He has only played one ODI so far, but his domestic record is outstanding— 60 wickets in 24 matches at an average of just 14.80. Rohit said he is a player who keeps his tricks hidden.
When he is In the nets, he doesn’t show us all his variations. He only shows his one type of delivery ball. Maybe he always wants to surprise us too! But that’s fine. He has some special skills, and he wants to use them when it matters. That’s a good thing.”
Mohammed Shami’s Comeback
Rohit also talked about Mohammad Shami, who returned to international cricket last month after ankle surgery. He played two ODIs against England, he done bowling 15.5 overs and taking a wicket in each game. Because Bumrah is missing at that time, Shami’s experience will be very important for Indian cricket team.

We just wanted Shami to get back in an India jersey. Whether he took wickets or not wasn’t our main concern. He has won us matches many times before. For him, it was all about finding his rhythm again. Hopefully, he gets into his best form early in this tournament.”
As India needs to prepare to take on Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma’s confidence in his team is clear.
No matter what conditions come their way, India is ready to fight and prove itself in the Champions Trophy 2025.
